TMU - Tutorials App Reviews
As a developers i usually need to learn from trainning video, this app have many many Mac & iOS video training courses, the video quality is good, that’s all i need. If you need to learn about Mac & iOS don’t miss this app.
good training app
this is the best app ever that i’ve downloaded,it’s the most useful training tutorials on MacOS, recommend it !
This is very useful app where you can watch different tutorial for various apps. The app has beautiful and easy to use design. All courses are very informative and really good to understand. Definitely recommend this app.
Putting aside the suspiciously dated and worded initial reviews, I do feel this is a nicely done series, as far as the tutorials I have purchase are concerned anyway. For the real beginner to the Mac I feel the All Access purchase is a real bargain. I would have opted for this myself if there were more non-Apple App courses currently available. Hopefully the list will grow. The Sparkle and Pixelmator tutorials are pretty comprehensive and well done. Yes, this information can be had for free from various locations on either the developer website or on Youtube, but the convienience of having lessons available in one place, as well as on all devices, makes the purchase price reasonable. There was a slight audio glitch on the Sparkle App tutorial, I have contacted the developer of TMU Tutorials via their web form, and hope to hear back from them soon. I have not gone through the entire Pixelmator App tutorial yet, but so far the lessons are well done. Nice to see iBooks Author in there, let’s hope Apple continues to update that app. Other lessons I would like to see offered would be for iMovie, Garageband, even iTunes (if Apple ever figures it out themselves), and perhaps OS X Server (soon to be macOS Server?). So, whether you go for the All You Can Eat for a year plan, or individual in-app purchases, this is a convenient, affordable way to expand your knowledge of Apple apps and related Mac apps.
Useful but login not convenient.
The app does not allow to copy username and password from password managers. Otherwise very useful app.
Learn MAC OS High Sierra, What’s New
I have purchased 8 tutorials from TMU and have been extremely satisfied with all of them. Its like having a personal instructor right in my home. I love the fact that I can stop the audio at any time and replay any part that I didn’t understand or need to hear again. Drew Swanson is very exacting, gives great tips that I would not even think about and gives good details for each lesson. I intend on purchasing more tutorials in the near future.
WARNING: Love the Content - But DID NOT GET ACCESS TO 2017 CONTENT
This is a warning to all MacOS and iOS App users. My “ALL ACCESS: subscription renewed on 11/20/2017. BUT - I lost access to all content ON ALL DEVICES. . .????? Contacted the developer. It appears there is a bug (in both iOS and MacOS?). His work around is to * Cancel the subscription (done - cancelled the renewal that would be executed in 2018) * Request a refund of the 2017 subscription ( I can’t see how to do that in iTunes) * ReRegister with the TMU Website and repay. (Nope - to me that is a less secure solution than using the iOS and MacOS apps. Content is not worth that kind of risk to me - especially when I was thinking about purchasing subscriptions for my employees via company owned devices). * Wait for the content to become available again in the Apps (Not yet sure that will happen - looks like I am stuck waiting since I don’t have a way to request a refund) I have asked the developer if he plans on fixing the apps or is moving to a web only model. No answer/committment yet. I will update when I know/learn more.
Love these tutorials.
I have been using TMU for a long time. I love the style of the tutorials and they are always up to date with the latest changes. Support is fantastic and your emails will always be answered promptly. I would definitely recommend the app and suggest choose the “all access”, which gives you access to any tutorials and everything new as it is released. I have shared this jewel with many friends and they love it too.

Very helpful videos! Great for learning new fetures for the Mac and iCloud! Photos lessons also very helpful!
